Vice President / Associate Director, Crisis & Risk (Litigation Communications)

What you will do

• Provide litigation communications, legal affairs and crisis communications counsel on active or potential litigation, investigations, disputes and regulatory scrutiny.
• Develop risk assessments, stakeholder maps, scenario plans, communications strategies, messaging, Q&As, holding statements and briefing materials.
• Work with lawyers, legal teams, senior executives and communications leaders to align public communications with legal strategy.
• Support live crisis response, hearings, judgments, regulatory decisions, inquiries and other high-pressure events across markets.
• Manage client relationships, projects, budgets, forecasts, proposals and new-business materials.
• Coach junior colleagues and help strengthen the UK litigation communications capability and internal expertise.

Requirements

• Strong experience in litigation communications, legal affairs, crisis communications, corporate reputation, public affairs, journalism, law or a related field.
• Track record of advising clients or senior stakeholders on legally sensitive, high-pressure or high-profile issues.
• Strong judgement and legal literacy, with the ability to balance legal risk, reputational risk, stakeholder expectations and commercial realities.
• Confident client counsel, writing, project management and account management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with legal teams, executives, communications leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Legal training or a legal qualification is welcome but not essential.
