Senior Government Relations Manager (Ecommerce)

What you will do

• Develop long-term relationships with European government entities, regulators, and industry organisations across digital regulation, competition, ecommerce, customs, product compliance, safety, EPR, sustainability, AI, and supply chain.
• Support hirify.global's positioning on policies affecting ecommerce retailers and marketplace providers.
• Support government engagement for expansion into new markets and business lines, including healthcare and private label.
• Represent hirify.global in policy consultations and support regulatory investigations, inspections, enforcement matters, and horizon scanning.
• Coordinate with Public Relations and China-based government affairs teams to align external communications and European messaging with Group strategy.
• Contribute to M&A regulatory analysis, due diligence, stakeholder mapping, policy incentives, grants, and strategic endorsements.

Requirements

• Solid experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, or government relations, including direct EU or UK regulatory engagement.
• Working knowledge of the EU digital regulatory landscape.
• Experience in ecommerce, digital platforms, retail, or technology, either in-house or in an advisory role.
• Ability to work in a function that is being built with limited existing infrastructure.
• Experience with Chinese-owned companies engaging with European regulators is a significant benefit.
