What you will do

• Lead end-to-end audits for financial crime and compliance, including AML, CTF, sanctions, and customer due diligence (KYC/KYB).
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of financial crime frameworks in accordance with CBUAE regulations.
• Conduct deep-dive and thematic reviews across high-risk areas such as transaction monitoring and sanctions screening.
• Lead forensic reviews into suspected financial crime, fraud, or control breaches.
• Apply advanced data analytics using SQL and Python to identify anomalies and control weaknesses.
• Report risk-based conclusions and practical recommendations to the Head of Internal Audit and senior management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in internal audit, financial crime compliance, or forensic investigations within banking or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions, and CBUAE financial crime and compliance regulations.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Fluency in English is a MUST.
• Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as CAMS, CFE, CFF, CIA, or CISA are strongly preferred.
