What you will do

• Own and evolve the core Bazel build ecosystem used by hundreds of engineers.
• Accelerate engineering velocity by optimizing build pipelines and reducing iteration times.
• Develop custom Bazel rules and tooling using Starlark to abstract complexity.
• Integrate software quality tools like code coverage and static analysis into the development workflow.
• Build tools and dashboards to empower developers to ship software faster.
• Collaborate with vendors to optimize remote build execution platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of expertise with Bazel or similar systems like Buck or Pants.
• Strong experience with Linux environments.
• Familiarity with maintaining large polyglot codebases.
• Proficiency in Python for tool integration and automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++ development.
• History of contributing to open-source Bazel projects.
