What you will do

• Lead and scale technical systems for security operations, including detection engineering and telemetry onboarding.
• Own end-to-end incident leadership, investigation, response, and post-incident review processes.
• Design and implement AI-native workflows and agents for security triage, enrichment, and response.
• Manage, coach, and retain a high-performing remote team of security engineers.
• Drive Python-based tooling and CI/CD practices to improve the reliability of security workflows.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, IT, Fraud, Legal, and Product on remediation and risk management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Security Detection & Response, Security Engineering, or Incident Response.
• 2+ years of people management experience, preferably in a remote-first environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python for automation and internal security tooling.
• Hands-on experience with modern SIEM platforms and security observability (Panther experience highly valued).
• Experience with cloud-native platforms and SaaS environments, preferably GCP.
• Must be located in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience applying AI-assisted security tooling in a production environment.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence workflows, and vulnerability management.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, or GCED.
