Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada (Onsite)

Salary: $5,047.00 - $5,503.00 CAD Monthly

What you will do

  • Prepare chemicals, reagents, and equipment for undergraduate laboratory experiments.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory instrumentation, including pH meters, spectrophotometers, and analytical balances.
  • Supervise and train Work Learn students and assist in overseeing Teaching Assistants.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including WHMIS regulations and hazardous waste disposal.
  • Manage inventory of chemicals, glassware, and consumables for high-enrollment courses.
  • Participate in the development and testing of new laboratory experiments and teaching aids.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Chemistry or graduation from a technical college/institute.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the hirify.global Vancouver campus.
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills for managing complex lab schedules.
  • Familiarity with WHMIS regulations and laboratory safety practices.
  • Good physical fitness to meet the daily demands of a high-volume undergraduate lab.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a first-year chemistry teaching lab setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve technical problems.
  • Proficiency with standard computer hardware, complex spreadsheets, and database programs.
