What you will do

• Carry out cross-country or single-country economic and econometric analyses on current policy issues.
• Contribute to semi-annual forecasting rounds and develop the Department's analytical apparatus.
• Draft reports, articles, and press releases for publications like the Economic Outlook and Economic Surveys.
• Collaborate with and provide guidance to data scientists, statisticians, and trainees.
• Represent the Department in meetings with national administrations, international organisations, and during country missions.
• Develop social media communications to promote the Economics Department's work.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree (Masters, PhD) in economics, econometrics, or a related field.
• At least five years' experience in applied economic research and policy analysis.
• Strong knowledge of micro and macro-economic theory and policy.
• Excellent econometric skills and familiarity with economic models.
• Fluency in English or French, with a commitment to reach a good working level in the other official language.

Nice to have

• Experience using micro-data for policy analysis and data science skills.
• A strong publication record in macroeconomics, fiscal policy, structural reforms, labour markets, or environmental economics.
• Knowledge of additional languages beyond English and French.
