SDET Engineer (Playwright & API Automation)

What you will do

• Develop and enhance E2E UI automation using Playwright and TypeScript following the Page Object Model (POM).
• Build and maintain API automation suites for REST, GraphQL, and SOAP using Python and pytest.
• Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for smoke, sanity, and regression testing.
• Design and maintain WireMock stubs for API and microservice simulation.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code for test generation and code reviews.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams in an Agile environment to ensure comprehensive automation coverage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Test Automation as an SDET or Automation Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, Python, and pytest.
• Proven experience testing REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD integration and WireMock or similar virtualization tools.
• Proficiency with Git workflows and version control best practices.
• Must be based in Mexico, Brazil, Panama, or Argentina.

Nice to have

• Experience with Postman, Newman, and AWS environments.
• Knowledge of Java and Selenium for maintaining legacy automation frameworks.
• Background in hospitality, travel, booking, or eCommerce platforms.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like k6 or Gatling.
• ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
