What you will do

• Own the architecture of platform-wide data and AI infrastructure, including capture standards and storage strategies.
• Design and build the data infrastructure powering analytics, search, recommendations, and AI/agentic features.
• Scale batch and streaming data pipelines using Kinesis, SQS/SNS, and Lambda with a focus on reliability and low latency.
• Develop the data layer for Agentic products using Model Context Protocol (MCP) to provide real-time data to AI agents.
• Define data contracts and governance standards, ensuring PII handling is in line with GDPR.
• Mentor engineers across the organization on data architecture and AI infrastructure best practices.

Requirements

• Proven track record owning data architecture at scale in a production SaaS environment.
• Expertise in operational databases (Postgres, MongoDB, MySQL) and analytical systems (Redshift).
• Experience building data pipelines with AWS tools such as Kinesis, SQS/SNS, and Lambda.
• Deep hands-on experience with LLMs, AI orchestration, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and DevOps tools (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Strong understanding of AI safety (prompt injection, guardrails) and data governance (GDPR).

Nice to have

• Experience with event technology or B2B SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with real-time location/proximity data (Bluetooth/RFID/UWB-based systems).
• Experience with security compliance frameworks like SOC 2 for AI systems.
• Open-source contributions or a public portfolio demonstrating AI/agentic work.
