What you will do

• Build highly available, secure, and distributed systems using a microservice architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain systems that model real-world logistics intricacies like cargo, containers, and documentation.
• Collaborate with product managers and business partners to distill complex trade problems into elegant technical solutions.
• Develop infrastructure solutions and improve development experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Ship products rapidly and incrementally to production multiple times per day.
• Maintain a high-quality bar by obsessing over metrics and applying learnings from post-mortems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in system design, architecture, and OOA/OOD patterns.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as TypeScript, Ruby, C, C++, Java, or Kotlin.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of performance tradeoffs, load balancing, and operational issues in distributed environments.
• Aptitude for learning quickly and a bias for action in solving complex technical problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CDKTF.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, and EventBridge.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and observability tools.
