What you will do

• Design and implement production-quality Linux software drivers for test instruments communicating over SCPI, VISA, serial, USB, and Ethernet.
• Architect and extend automated test execution frameworks and the internal result-checking infrastructure.
• Collaborate with avionics hardware engineers to define operating envelopes and validate driver correctness.
• Design networking architecture for multi-instrument, multi-UUT test configurations.
• Build and maintain deployment automation for test system configuration management.
• Design operator-facing applications and CLI interfaces for test engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee.
• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level Python and proven experience developing software on Linux.
• Experience with networking stacks, socket programming, and hardware interface software.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other safety-critical domains.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience building GUI applications in Python or web-based operator interfaces.
• Familiarity with avionics test environments and aerospace requirements management systems.
• Experience with C++ in an embedded or hardware-interface context.
