What you will do

• Define and own the Data Platform roadmap, encompassing ingestion, auto-detection, schema reconciliation, and lineage.
• Manage CRO and lab-partner ingestion templates and the auto-matching UX to ensure immediate data usability.
• Drive dataset-level provenance, sensitivity tagging, and field-of-use governance.
• Design experiment-integration API schemas in collaboration with BioSim and ChemSim teams.
• Own the federated data-management product to enable IP-safe data sharing across partners.
• Define and track key performance metrics, including time-to-usable per dataset and auto-match accuracy.

Requirements

• 5+ years in product management, with deep expertise in data platforms or data governance.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data catalogs, and provenance/lineage tracking.
• Proven track record of designing developer-facing data APIs and ingestion tooling.
• Experience defining data governance controls, including access and sensitivity classification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with scientific data formats such as HDF5, SDF, CSV, and JSON-LD.
• Knowledge of regulated data governance standards like HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, and GxP.
• Familiarity with the drug-discovery or materials-research data lifecycle.
• Understanding of federated learning and IP-sharing constraints in R&D.
• MBA or equivalent business experience.
