Technical Lead / Solution Architect (.NET/Azure)

Technical Lead / Solution Architect (.NET/Azure): Designing and leading the modernization of federal application portfolios with an accent on enterprise architecture, cloud migration, and technical governance. Focus on creating scalable, secure solutions within Azure Government and Microsoft 365 ecosystems while ensuring FISMA and NIST compliance.

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid/On-site). Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 2 (Moderate Risk) Public Trust background investigation.

Salary: $145,000 – $220,000 annually

What you will do

• Act as the senior technical authority for enterprise architecture, solution design, and modernization planning.
• Develop technical roadmaps, reference architectures, and implementation strategies for Azure Government, M365, and Power Platform.
• Lead the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements analysis through deployment and operations.
• Establish software engineering standards, DevSecOps processes, and release management procedures.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to ensure adherence to FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Mentor technical staff and perform reviews of technical designs and software code.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible software engineering and solution architecture experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Federal Government enterprise IT systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, or Architect.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale application modernization or enterprise software initiatives.
• Expertise in designing cloud-native and hybrid enterprise architectures.

Nice to have

• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or CISSP.
• PMP or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) / SAFe Agilist certification.
• Experience with Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification.
