TL;DR
Senior Mission Manager (FedD167) (Kubernetes/DevSecOps): Driving customer success, delivery execution, and adoption of secure software and platform capabilities across U.S. Army mission portfolios with an accent on Kubernetes, GitOps, hybrid cloud, and DevSecOps. Focus on translating mission requirements into delivery plans, managing backlogs and risks, and advising Army stakeholders on secure cloud-native solutions.
Location: Hawaii, United States; approximately 30% onsite and 70% remote. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to Hawaii.
Salary: $142,375–$192,625 USD annually.

What you will do
- Drive customer success, mission outcomes, delivery execution, and adoption of solutions across Army mission portfolios.
- Translate Army customer requirements and operational challenges into actionable work items, delivery plans, and priorities.
- Manage backlogs, sprint planning, delivery tracking, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
- Partner with technical leads, architects, and engineers to align secure platform solutions with customer needs and engineering practices.
- Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and serve as a trusted customer advisor.
- Contribute to proposals, technical responses, white papers, ROM development, onboarding, mentoring, and hiring activities.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance are required.
- Production Kubernetes experience with AKS, EKS, RKE2, K3s, or OpenShift.
- Experience with Helm, GitOps workflows, Terraform or OpenTofu, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud networking, RBAC, storage, DevSecOps, and DevOps principles.
- Experience supporting the U.S. Army, Army Software Factory, or similar DoD software organizations.
- Willingness to travel for onsite training and support and to meet the Hawaii onsite requirement.
Nice to have
- Experience with system image creation, architecture design, and deployment pipelines.
- Experience with Zarf, UDS, or similar air-gapped deployment tooling.
- Customer-facing production support and platform guidance experience.
- DoD IAT Level II certification, such as Security+.
