What you will do

• Perform final accuracy checks on dispensed medicines to ensure the right patient, medicine, strength, and directions.
• Verify that all assembly meets legal requirements, SOPs, and internal safety standards.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies or potential dispensing errors to support continuous improvement.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and auditable records of all completed checks.
• Support the safe handling and checking of controlled drugs and high-risk medications.
• Collaborate with the wider pharmacy team to resolve queries while maintaining independent checking standards.

Requirements

• Accredited Accuracy Checking Dispenser (ACD) qualification recognized for pharmacy practice.
• Significant experience in a pharmacy environment with a proven track record of final accuracy checks.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy legislation, governance, and patient safety principles.
• Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgement, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
