What you will do

• Assign, track, review, and coordinate CIO congressional reporting requirements (CRRs) through completion.
• Manage DoD CIO CRR tracking in CHARRTS, including protocols and support for CIO staff.
• Review and ensure congressional inquiries, reports, and questions are complete and properly formatted within assigned timelines.
• Provide executive-level legislative analysis and legislative impact research for CIO equities and programs.
• Produce periodic legislative updates during congressional sessions and maintain hearing transcripts with DoD CIO leadership testimony where applicable.
• Support coordination and delivery of senior leader correspondence, talking points, statements, briefings, hearings, and after-actions; support DoD CIO in defense authorization and appropriations processes.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Master’s degree in Legislative Affairs, Political Science, National Security Affairs, International Relations, International Economics, or a related field.
• 12+ years of legislative work experience.
• 3+ years supporting legislative analysis plus task tracking and record keeping across multiple systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on user experience with the DoD CHARRTS system and OSD(LA) systems.
• Ability to conduct rigorous analysis with limited oversight and communicate difficult concepts clearly to senior officials.
