What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, generators, batteries, UPS, and fire suppression systems.
• Dispatch to various communities across Alaska to conduct quality control inspections and testing of company facilities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, and building systems to maximize availability.
• Ensure facilities comply with safety regulations, applicable codes, and company specifications.
• Manage maintenance software for scheduling, tracking work orders, and inventorying supplies.
• Interface with vendors to resolve technical problems and gather technical data.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in facility operation, maintenance, or telecommunications technician roles.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a DOT medical card including drug testing.
• Ability to travel to remote rural Alaskan communities for several days, often in harsh arctic weather conditions.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).

Nice to have

• Associate degree in electronics, mechanical HVAC, or electrical fields.
• Specialization in operating and maintaining remote telecommunication electronics and power systems.
• Relevant telecom industry or job-specific certifications.
