Location: Hybrid in Lund, Sweden (on-site at least three days a week)

What you will do

• Develop the backbone of an event-driven analytics service using Java to process millions of discovery events in near real-time.
• Architect systems that translate raw event data into actionable visual reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to expand functionality and improve the technical landscape.
• Contribute to system design, infrastructure monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Participate in architectural decisions to ensure solutions are built using industry best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a comparable industry career.
• Strong backend development skills with experience building scalable, secure, cloud-based systems.
• Proficiency in Java (latest versions) and Maven.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and containerization tools such as Docker, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with large-scale systems and an understanding of scaling-related performance challenges.
• Must be able to work on-site in Lund at least three days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience building scalable storage and reporting systems.
• Background in analytics/insights tooling.
• Experience within the retail or e-commerce industries.
