Cost/Inventory Accountant

What you will do

• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems for accurate costing and inventory levels.
• Produce daily production, variance, and ad hoc reports.
• Review standard and actual costs, identify variances, and prepare customer, part number, and production job analyses.
• Coordinate physical inventory counts, cycle counts, account reconciliations, and inventory adjustments.
• Prepare monthly gross margin analyses and support month-end and year-end closing.
• Analyze product design, raw material, manufacturing method, and service changes, working with engineering and manufacturing to resolve variances and adjust Bills of Materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Preferred: 3–5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with an integrated ERP system and proficiency in Excel.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory, and cost accounting.
• Required understanding of local GAAP in a manufacturing environment; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in both German and English.
