IT Trainee (Healthtech)

What you will do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and perform OS installations.
• Manage IT asset inventory, including equipment distribution for onboarding and offboarding.
• Administer user accounts via Google Workspace, VPN, and Active Directory.
• Maintain and improve IT documentation, including SOPs and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Ensure the monitoring and maintenance of lab servers and network stability.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
• At least one year of experience in IT support, operations, or lab support.
• Proven experience in IT troubleshooting across hardware, software, and networks.
• Strong organizational skills and experience with inventory management systems.
• Must be based in Porto, Portugal for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a laboratory or R&D environment supporting scientific teams.
• Familiarity with QMS frameworks like ISO 13485 or security principles like ISO 27001.
• Basic scripting skills in Python or Bash for task automation.
• Previous experience in biotech, medtech, or deep tech startups.
