Senior Database Developer (MS SQL Server): Designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions for high-volume Sportsbook and Platform systems with an accent on T-SQL performance and scalability. Focus on optimizing complex queries, improving execution plans, and bridging the gap between application development and database administration.
Location: Hybrid or Remote in Bucharest, Romania

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient T-SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Perform data modeling and design high-throughput database solutions for critical system operations.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize complex queries, execution plans, and indexes to eliminate bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with .NET developers to optimize data access patterns using Dapper.
- Provide technical guidance on whether logic should reside within SQL Server or application code.
- Define and implement data retention, archiving, and deletion strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in database development with MS SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Advanced expertise in stored procedures, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
- Strong understanding of locking, blocking, deadlocks, and transactional consistency.
- Proficiency in database design principles, normalization, and relational architecture.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting business-critical production systems.
- Working knowledge of .NET applications and Dapper or similar micro-ORM frameworks.
