What you will do

• Own a research project end-to-end, from hypothesis formation to model evaluation.
• Collect, clean, and explore large, noisy datasets to engineer predictive signals.
• Build, fit, and evaluate models on a supercomputing grid.
• Present research findings and results to trading teams.
• Receive daily 1:1 mentorship from experienced quantitative researchers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
• Systematic research thinking with the ability to design rigorous tests and draw sound conclusions.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Ability to explain research choices, alternatives considered, and methodology.
• Must be available for an in-person 10-week internship in Chicago or New York during Summer 2027.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in C++.
• Familiarity with financial markets.
