What you will do
- Design and implement APIs and serverless services using Node.js and TypeScript on AWS Lambda.
- Define and maintain event-driven architectures for IoT telemetry ingestion.
- Optimize Aurora PostgreSQL data models and manage time-series data retention and performance.
- Implement end-to-end observability with actionable alarms, logs, metrics, and traces.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS CodeArtifact.
- Mentor team members, elevate coding standards, and manage operational risks like concurrency and capacity planning.
Requirements
- Must be based in Argentina (Buenos Aires or Cordoba).
- Solid experience in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Proven expertise in AWS serverless services (Lambda, IAM, VPC, API Gateway, SQS/SNS).
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora, including modeling and performance tuning.
- Experience with high-frequency time-series data ingestion and processing.
- Technical English proficiency for documentation and code comments.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS IoT Core (MQTT) and TimescaleDB.
- Familiarity with AWS CDK, Lambda Powertools, and monorepo tools like Turborepo or NX.
- Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, SRE practices, and containerization (Docker, ECS).
- Background in industrial IoT contexts (SCADA, MES).
