Food Safety Auditor

Location: Remote within the United States; the position may be located anywhere in the U.S.

Salary: USD 80,000–90,000 annually

What you will do

• Perform third-party certification audits for food safety and animal feed standards, including GMP, SFSF, and HACCP.
• Collect and analyze audit evidence to determine whether certification should be recommended or continued.
• Apply hirify.global certification procedures, sector-specific schemes, and relevant standards during audits.
• Collaborate with audit teams and provide customers with complete audit coverage across accredited certification activities.
• Participate in witness audits and support the training of Auditors and Senior Auditors.
• Maintain audit credentials and follow internal standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in animal feed, nutrition, food science, or bioscience.
• At least 2 years of work experience and qualification as a Lead Auditor for HACCP through a third-party audit scheme such as SQF.
• At least 2 years of proven management experience in the food industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance or food safety management system coordination.
• Advanced English proficiency is required.
• Strong knowledge of technical applications of applicable food safety standards, along with clear communication, decision-making, organizational, and multitasking skills.
