What you will do

• Build, maintain, and ensure timely delivery of high-volume event log pipelines.
• Create libraries, tools, and automation to ensure critical event data reaches the correct destinations.
• Consult with engineering teams to improve system visibility and foster a culture of Observability.
• Prototype tooling interfaces and build new features for internal engineering use cases.
• Improve auto-remediation in logging infrastructure to avoid recurring failures.
• Participate in the Monitoring Infrastructure on-call rotation to triage and address production issues.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring and onboarding new team members.
• Proficiency in unit testing, code review, and design documentation.
• Deep understanding of security concepts and the ability to implement them to protect users.
• Must be based in or authorized to work in the US (San Francisco).

Nice to have

• Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK stack).
• Passion for data visualization, graphing, and maximizing signal versus noise.
