TL;DR
Packet Core (PACO) Engineer: Implementing and upgrading packet core solutions for telecom environments with an accent on 4G/5G call flows, VoLTE, and cloud-native architectures. Focus on deploying and troubleshooting complex network systems using Linux, VMware, and containerization technologies.
Location: Must be based in Portugal with EU citizenship or a valid work permit; hybrid model (2x a week in Lisbon)

What you will do
- Implement and upgrade Packet Core solutions for telecom clients.
- Manage cloud-native deployments using OpenStack, OpenShift, and Docker.
- Troubleshoot network issues using Wireshark and analyze core call flows.
- Execute High-Level and Detailed-Level Designs (HLD/DLD).
- Collaborate directly with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- Must be based in Portugal with Portuguese/EU citizenship or a valid work permit.
- English proficiency: B2 level required.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Solution or Deployment Engineer.
- 2+ years of experience in Packet Core implementation and upgrades.
- Deep knowledge of 4G/5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi, IoT, and NSA/SA architectures.
- Proficiency in Linux, VMware, Docker, OpenStack, and OpenShift.
