Staff AI Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Prague, Czech Republic

What you will do

• Build and operate end-to-end distributed agentic AI solutions for equity research.
• Design LLM-powered workflows covering orchestration, retrieval, tool use, evaluation, and operational safeguards.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving multiple teams and shared systems.
• Mentor engineers and define engineering quality standards, architectural patterns, and best practices.
• Own the maintainability, observability, reliability, and cost efficiency of AI systems.
• Monitor model quality drift, prompt alignment, alerting, and operational health.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining software systems.
• Strong backend expertise in a strongly typed language, preferably TypeScript, plus knowledge of AWS and cloud computing primitives.
• Experience with agentic AI concepts including tool use, function calling, state machines or graphs, retrieval and reranking, structured outputs, memory, guardrails, and evaluation.
• Experience developing and deploying workflows with LangChain, Mastra, or LangGraph, and operating multiple GenAI or LLM systems in production.
• Prior AI systems team leadership, scaled LLM debugging, incident response, human-in-the-loop evaluation, RAG, embeddings, fine-tuning, and production evaluation suites.

• Practical interest in investing, public markets, and fundamental business analysis.
• Experience applying functional programming or graph-based systems where they provide a technical advantage.
