What you will do

• Lead the molecular services team and define the overall scientific strategy for the laboratory business unit.
• Oversee the design, development, and validation of molecular assays, including DNA methylation and epigenetic approaches.
• Ensure efficient organization and execution of laboratory experiments to generate high-quality data.
• Provide technical and scientific leadership to a multi-faceted team in a competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with the Berlin Site Head to implement strategic scientific plans and technology assessments.
• Manage assigned staff and ensure compliance with laboratory standards and business demands.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Genomics, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related field.
• Minimum 18 years of relevant laboratory experience in Molecular Biology.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience supervising scientific staff.
• Must be fluent in both English and German (reading, writing, speaking).
• Experience with ISO 15189 laboratory standards.
• Expert-level technical skills in NGS, qPCR, and nucleic acid extraction.

Nice to have

• Solid understanding of current GxP standards.
• Demonstrated skills in various molecular scientific assays.
• Clinical trial knowledge, particularly in oncology.
