Senior Software Engineer (Golang)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Golang/React): Building and optimizing Kubernetes monitoring capabilities for the hirify.global Observability SaaS platform with an accent on high-performance data collection and processing using OpenTelemetry. Focus on designing scalable distributed systems, mentoring team members, and maintaining high engineering standards through spec-driven development.

Location: Must be based in Brno, Czech Republic (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days home office).

What you will do

• Own the full development lifecycle of Kubernetes monitoring services from design to production.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code for scalable distributed applications.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools and Spec-Driven Development (SDD) processes.
• Collaborate with an international team to define standards and improve engineering practices.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to technical direction.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of the observability platform.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience with Golang and React.
• Solid understanding of software development processes and procedures.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Good written and verbal English proficiency.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model in Brno, Czech Republic.
• Collaborative mindset and experience with unit/automation testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) or similar structured workflows.
• Familiarity with Apollo Client and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with E2E test automation.
• Background in building scalable, distributed applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
