Java Developer (Cybersecurity): Building and maintaining a no-BS security platform for developers with an accent on modular, testable code and high-availability application design. Focus on solving complex algorithmic challenges, implementing asynchronous programming, and optimizing product performance for a fast-growing security startup.
Location: Must be based in or able to work within the CEST timezone, with an office presence in Ghent, Belgium.

What you will do
- Write modular, testable, and efficient code using Java and other languages.
- Design and implement high-availability applications.
- Plan, document, and maintain new features for the security platform.

- Implement asynchronous programming patterns and optimize code for speed.
Requirements
- Must be located in or able to work within the CEST timezone.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience as a Medior or Senior developer capable of hitting the ground running.
- Strong background in Java and implementing automated testing platforms.
- Ability to research and tackle hard problems, such as parsing with ASTs.
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment and making architectural decisions.
