TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer Consultant (Databricks): Building scalable data pipelines and architectures for structured and unstructured data across cloud and distributed systems with an accent on data integration, modeling, and DataOps practices. Focus on designing batch and real-time processing solutions, optimizing databases, and leading client engagements from strategy through execution.

Location: Luxembourg, Luxembourg; flexible hybrid work across the office, home, and client sites.

What you will do

Lead client engagements and co-design data engineering solutions with clients and stakeholders.
Build scalable data pipelines and architectures for large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
Design cloud and distributed data solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and frameworks such as Spark and Kafka.
Develop data models and optimize relational, NoSQL, time-series, and graph database solutions.
Implement batch, streaming, real-time integration, CI/CD, and DataOps practices.
Contribute to consulting offerings, proposals, publications, events, and long-term client relationships while mentoring junior and mid-level consultants.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
3–6 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent academic research.
Proven interest and experience in Data Engineering, with common client stacks including Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
Fluency in English and French is required; French fluency is a must.
Interest in data and AI-related topics and relevant sectors such as Energy and Finance.
