What you will do

• Design and build engaging levels from initial concepts through final implementation.
• Create immersive gameplay spaces supporting cooperative experiences and emotional engagement.
• Collaborate with systems designers, narrative teams, artists, and engineers to deliver cohesive experiences.
• Integrate story elements, scripted moments, puzzles, and gameplay events into levels.
• Implement interactive environments using level editors and scripting tools within the game engine.
• Test and iterate on content to enhance navigation, pacing, and player satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in game development with a focus on level design.
• Experience contributing to at least one shipped game title.
• Strong understanding of player guidance, pacing, and environmental storytelling.
• Proficiency with level editors, scripting tools, and gameplay systems.
• Must be based in Canada and legally eligible to work in the country.
• Excellent communication skills for effective multidisciplinary collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience designing atmospheric environments using pacing, lighting, and sound.
• Interest in emergent gameplay, player agency, and cinematic presentation.
