What you will do
- Design and build levels end-to-end, including layout, exploration, encounters, and pacing.
- Collaborate with systems design, narrative, art, and engineering teams to implement the creative vision.
- Script and implement gameplay events, puzzles, and progression systems for solo and co-operative play.
- Integrate story beats and environmental storytelling into physical spaces.
- Test, debug, and iterate on levels to resolve issues with navigation, pacing, and player guidance.
- Respond to feedback to refine layouts and improve immersion and tension.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in game development with a focus on level design.
- Experience shipping at least one title, ideally in exploration, action, or horror genres.
- Strong understanding of player guidance, pacing, and environmental storytelling.
- Proficiency with level editing tools, scripting, and gameplay logic.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks within production schedules.
- Strong collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary teams.
