Research sets our direction; the platform makes it real. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to own that platform — the multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure, data pipelines, and services that turn research-grade AI systems into reliable products. You don’t need prior LLM or AI experience: you need to be excellent at designing
and operating distributed systems, and curious enough to pick up the AI side as you go. If you want your infrastructure work to sit at the center of cutting-edge AI rather than adjacent to it, this is the role.
 
Your role
Architect and implement scalable backend services and multi-tenant SaaS systems.
Design and operate high-throughput data pipelines (batch and streaming) feeding knowledge-graph construction and retrieval.
Build the API and service layer through which our products consume LLM inference, retrieval systems, and knowledge graphs.
Own reliability, observability, security, and cost across our Kubernetes-based, cloud-native environment.
Work alongside researchers and AI engineers to productionize research-grade systems into robust distributed services.
 
What you’ll need
7+ years of commercial backend engineering experience.
5+ years of commercial experience with Python.
Deep experience with distributed systems and cloud-native environments. (AWS – MUST)
Experience architecting, developing, and deploying Kubernetes-based systems.- MUST
Strong experience with data pipelines and SaaS architectures.
B2 English
 
Nice to have
Go and/or Scala.
Exposure to LLM APIs, model serving, or inference infrastructure.
Graph databases (e.g., Neo4j), vector databases, or search infrastructure.
Streaming platforms (Kafka, Flink, or similar).
