Specialist, Inventory Exceptions

TL;DR

Specialist, Inventory Exceptions (Supply Chain): Manage customer delivery exceptions and inventory discrepancies by coordinating with 3PL providers, processing OS&D and delivery-point exceptions, and ensuring accurate returns and reverse logistics. What you will do

• Review and resolve orders and inventory exceptions tied to customer deliveries, including OS&D processing on inbound receiving and exception accounting at delivery while matching results to the ERP system.
• Process returns, exchanges, and exceptions that result in return inventory to enable accurate reverse logistics back to origin or clearance outlets.
• Assist with quality/product status changes and holds for customer orders to mitigate negative impacts and communicate outcomes.
• Review and action logistics help request tickets from internal teams and external partners, with emphasis on customer sales orders.
• Collaborate with internal business teams within and outside Supply Chain to support scheduled and as-needed task/project goals.
• Continuously improve accuracy and efficiency by understanding ERP, WMS, and related order management system interactions and addressing variances cross-functionally.

Requirements

• 1+ year of inventory control experience (e.g., cycle counting, WMS/ERP research and corrective actions, or sales order exception auditing and processing).
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams) and inventory management tools.
• Understanding of logistics and warehousing practices, including order processing, picking, shipping, and delivery/return processes.
• Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional discussions with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Work onsite at the hirify.global Boston Heights Corporate Campus main building.
