Location: Must be based in Sydney, working four days per week from our Surry Hills HQ.

What you will do

• Coach and develop backend engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design discussions.
• Manage team rituals including standups and sprint planning to keep the team unblocked.
• Design and maintain reliable data integrations with tools like Gong, Intercom, and HubSpot.
• Develop shared data pipelines to transform raw customer data into clean, enriched datasets.
• Build reusable data infrastructure to support ingestion and processing across multiple products.
• Design event-driven architectures to process millions of customer records efficiently.

Requirements

• Must be based in Sydney and able to work from the office four days per week.
• Deep engineering expertise with 1-2 years of experience as a tech lead or team lead.
• Strong background in backend development and data processing at scale.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Proven ability to embed AI into day-to-day workflows to improve quality and speed.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate effort versus impact trade-offs.
