Senior Proposal Manager (Federal)

Location: Hybrid (Herndon, VA) with remote work flexibility

Salary: $120,000 – $135,000

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end proposal development, ensuring 100% compliance and strategic alignment.
• Partner with Solutions and Capture teams to shape compelling, customer-focused messaging and win themes.
• Manage proposal operations, including kickoffs, stand-ups, and milestone reviews.
• Own proposal architecture, including outlines, templates, compliance matrices, and quality control.
• Facilitate color reviews and final QA to ensure high-quality, competitive submissions.
• Maintain proposal assets and contribute to continuous improvement of the knowledge base.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience as a Proposal Manager leading Federal proposals.
• 3+ years of experience as a Proposal Coordinator with writing and editing expertise.
• Proven success supporting small business growth in federal contracting and managing proposals over $5M.
• Proficiency in Shipley methodologies and market research tools like GovWinIQ, eBuy, and SAM.gov.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

• Experience developing oral presentations.
• Interest in emerging technology trends like Generative AI and MLOps.
