What you will do

• Design and implement secure multi-tenant architecture, including authentication, authorization, and auditability.
• Develop and maintain public APIs, SDKs, and tool interfaces for human developers and autonomous agents.
• Build services for tenant provisioning, self-serve administration, and the customer onboarding lifecycle.
• Manage integration paths for MCPs, agents, and data, ensuring trust and isolation within tenant boundaries.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, data, and science teams to build scalable, high-performance backend services.
• Own system design and operational correctness, particularly for regulated deployments like GxP or FedRAMP.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience with a focus on APIs, platform infrastructure, or backend services.
• Strong expertise in API design, multi-tenancy, and authentication/authorization patterns.
• Solid proficiency in Python (FastAPI), Kubernetes, AWS, and SQL/document databases.
• Proven ability to ship working code, debug production issues, and own systems end-to-end.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to make technical tradeoffs under ambiguity.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience with compliance requirements such as SOC 2, HIPAA, GxP, or FedRAMP.
• Familiarity with MCP, OpenAPI, or OIDC/OAuth 2.0.
• Experience with policy-based authorization (OPA) or tenant isolation patterns.
