Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Redwood City, CA or San Francisco, CA (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $190,000–$240,000 USD

What you will do

• Design and develop systems for the end-to-end Expert Contributor (EC) lifecycle.
• Build integrations with third-party assessment and Employer of Record platforms.
• Automate supply and allocation logic to manage high volumes of contributors.
• Prototype and maintain scalable services for complex data user management pipelines.
• Set strategy and architecture for build systems, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve dev-infra and release processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with deep ownership of build, test, or CI/CD systems.
• 6+ years of experience developing performant and scalable web application architectures.
• Strong background in developer productivity, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Expertise designing REST APIs for internal services.
• Proven track record leading complex engineering initiatives and delivering measurable impact.
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule (3 days per week) from Redwood City, CA or San Francisco, CA.

• Experience in hyper-growth startup environments.
• Knowledge of AI development workflows or AI-assisted code generation.
• Prior experience as a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Engineering Manager.
