What you will do

• Maintain and optimize Perl, Ruby, and Shell scripts for deployment, configuration, and high-availability tasks.
• Execute the migration of administrative scripts from Perl to Python or Ruby.
• Manage OS security, system hardening, and compliance with industry frameworks.
• Build and maintain kickstart installations for Rocky Linux environments.
• Administer Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and automate PostgreSQL database operations.
• Support on-premises infrastructure and assist in transitioning solutions to containers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of scripting expertise with Bash and at least one of Perl, Python, or Ruby.
• Detailed understanding of Linux (Rocky Linux/RedHat), RPM packaging, and system tuning.
• Experience creating kickstarts or similar system installation technologies.
• Proven ability to design and implement Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for OS configuration, authentication, and software defects.

Nice to have

• Experience leading a small team.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and virtualization (VMWare, KVM).
• Experience with networking (IP, DNS, Routing, Firewalls) and LDAP/Active Directory.
• Database management skills, specifically with PostgreSQL.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to expedite job functions.
