Frontend Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Frontend Engineer (Fintech): Develop web applications and financial features using ReactJS and Figma, working with product managers and an experienced development team. Location: Preferably in Madrid or elsewhere in Spain.

What you will do

• Work with an experienced development team and product managers to ideate, brainstorm, and build impressive financial features.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and web applications for maximum robustness, scalability, and security.
• Test all new features and enhancements to ensure responsiveness and efficiency, including troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrades; document code to ensure team alignment.
• Help protect users' data, confidentiality, and integrity by creating security and data protection settings.
• Help build CI/CD, monitoring, and testing practices together with the rest of the team.
• Develop skills and learn from other areas where they might have expertise.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a FullStack or Frontend engineer using Javascript/Typescript.
• Experience in production environments using React is a must.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture design patterns and coding best practices.
• Comfortable with testing environments, ensuring every detail is brushed before going to production.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail, understanding the difference between perfect and good-enough.
• English: Working proficiency required & fluent in Spanish.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the rest of the tech stack: React, Redux, Storybook, NodeJS, Express, Cypress, Jest, MongoDB, Python, GCP, Gitlab CI/CD…
• Experience with CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of tracking test coverage tools and quality monitoring.
• Previous experience in the financial industry or fintechs.
