What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable, resilient systems for high-volume financial data processing.
• Lead end-to-end projects from conceptualization to production deployment.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to navigate technical trade-offs.
• Integrate AI coding tools into daily workflows to automate processes and improve code quality.
• Drive data-driven initiatives to optimize system performance and billing accuracy.
• Foster engineering excellence and mentor team members on best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of production backend or data infrastructure experience.
• At least 2 years of experience at Staff Engineer or equivalent level.
• Strong backend fundamentals with proficiency in Python.
• Proven experience owning production systems, including monitoring and reliability improvements.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and observability.
• Experience with AWS and large-scale storage solutions like MySQL, Snowflake, or Redis.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch.
• Experience building data pipelines with Airflow, Kafka, or Delta Lake.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or container orchestration.
• Background in billing or ERP systems.
