Security Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Security Engineer (AI): Developing and enhancing AI-driven cybersecurity products to automate the security analysis process with an accent on AI-driven hypotheses and threat detection. Focus on building automated investigation pipelines, researching attacker techniques, and integrating machine learning models to secure digital estates.

Location: Hybrid; must be based in the UK and attend the Cambridge office at least 2 days per week

What you will do

• Complete a 12-week structured training program to develop expertise in threat detection and investigation.
• Develop and automate security analysis processes using hirify.global's Cyber AI Analyst.
• Own the end-to-end creation of AI-driven hypotheses to investigate activity across the digital estate.
• Conduct research and development, handle customer releases, and implement continuous improvements.
• Collaborate extensively with machine learning, security research, and software engineering teams.

Requirements

• PhD in a technical area or an equivalent research background.
• Proficiency in Python, including asynchronous code and structured data analysis pipelines.
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning techniques (statistics, clustering, classification, anomaly detection, embeddings, LLM usage).
• Knowledge of or interest in the cybersecurity landscape, including network and AI threats.
• Experience with software engineering best practices (OOP, CI, unit testing).
