What you will do

• Develop AI algorithms and prototypes with a focus on foundation models and self-supervised learning.
• Optimize models and training pipelines for accuracy, scale, and rapid experimentation.
• Follow agile methodology and software engineering best practices, including test-driven development.
• Evaluate generative AI models and partner with teams training models at scale.
• Engage with research literature to benchmark and adopt state-of-the-art techniques.
• Document technical progress and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in an ML engineering or applied research role working with software development teams.
• Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
• Hands-on experience building foundation models and self-supervised learning methods.
• Honours degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent quantitative background.
• Experience evaluating generative AI models and partnering with large-scale training teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare data and product development.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud development and distributed training.
• PhD in Machine Learning or equivalent research experience.
• Publications or open-source contributions in foundation models or generative AI.
