What you will do
- Provide software design and architectural guidance for complex applications, including evaluating alternatives and trade-offs.
- Ensure delivery of multiple design views that address stakeholder concerns and meet functional, non-functional, and security requirements.
- Lead team performance and operational direction: allocate work, assess quality, coach skills, and contribute to performance discussions.
- Own medium-scale project definition, approach, facilitation, and completion; manage change control, risks, and governance alignment.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet standards, budgets, and timelines; ensure scheduled product and project quality reviews.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement preventive/corrective actions; improve processes by integrating research insights and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 7+ years in relevant Software Engineering roles, including Senior Software Engineer experience.
- 1+ years leading a team formally or informally (approximately 3–10 direct reports).
- Proficiency in modern backend languages such as Go, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js.
- Experience building modern Single Page Applications (SPAs) with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong cloud architecture knowledge and experience deploying scalable, reliable applications.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and familiarity with Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, and code reviews.
