TL;DR

Real Time Systems Enigneer (C++/FPGA/VHDL): Developing and testing directed energy weapon software and firmware using Computer-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, and Hardware-in-the-Loop workflows with an accent on hard- and soft-realtime control, mixed-signal integration, and hardware control algorithms. Focus on coordinating software/firmware planning and execution across an Agile development team while meeting realtime OS and FPGA development requirements.

What you will do

• Develop and test directed energy weapon software and firmware using CIL, SWIL, and HWIL environments.
• Implement hard- and soft-realtime software and develop hardware control algorithms.
• Integrate control and monitoring software with mixed-signal systems.
• Coordinate across multiple teams for planning, execution, and reporting of software/firmware activities within an Agile development team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with at least one of Computer-in-the-Loop (CIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SWIL), or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems.
• Experience with realtime operating systems.
• Programming experience in C++ and Python.
• FPGA development experience using VHDL/Verilog.
• Experience writing hardware/software interfaces and hardware control algorithms.
• Active Secret clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Familiarity with object-oriented design and development.
• Experience with infrared imaging and tracking systems.
• Experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Experience with high-speed camera interfaces (e.g., CameraLink, 10 GigE Vision).
• Experience developing High Energy Laser (HEL) weapon system software/firmware.
