SDM Deployment Engineer

TL;DR

What you will do

• Deploy and configure SDM solutions across 4G and 5G core network components.
• Implement solutions based on High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level (DLD) design documentation.
• Manage virtualization and cloud platforms including Linux, VMware, OpenStack, and OpenShift.
• Ensure end-to-end interworking for services like VoLTE, VoWiFi, and IoT.
• Troubleshoot and maintain network interfaces using protocols such as Diameter, LDAP, and HTTP/REST.

Requirements

• Must be based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit.
• English proficiency: B2 level required.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in SDM deployment.
• Strong expertise in Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and virtualization platforms.
• Deep understanding of telecom protocols including Diameter, SOAP, and GSM SS7.
• Availability for hybrid work in Lisbon (2 days per week).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Nokia SDM portfolio (SDL, PGW, SDLA).
• Experience with SDL migration projects.
