What you will do

• Perform line and top editing for multiple digital travel stories daily.
• Handle headline and display writing, and overall story packaging.
• Assign articles and cultivate relationships with a diverse range of freelance writers.
• Organize and develop content calendars to ensure a steady stream of high-quality content.
• Write and update articles, newsletters, and scripts for social video.
• Collaborate with editors and the editorial director in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on text editing experience.
• 5-7 years of experience as a senior editor at a media company in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proven expertise in line editing, story shaping, and packaging.
• Experience working with a CMS, writing newsletters, and scriptwriting for social video.
• Meticulous attention to detail, grammar, and knowledge of fact-checking best practices.
