What you will do

  • Oversee AML/CFT obligations for CASPs to ensure practices meet current requirements.
  • Identify and report suspicious activities (STRs/SARs) to relevant authorities in a timely manner.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal AML/CFT policies and procedures.
  • Conduct specialized risk assessments related to crypto-assets and the client base.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with CySEC and other regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor organization-wide compliance with AML/CFT requirements.

Requirements

  • Hands-on AML/compliance experience in regulated financial services, fintech, payments, crypto, or banking.
  • Solid working knowledge of MiCA and its application to crypto-asset service providers.
  • Strong understanding of Cyprus AML legislation and the broader EU AML framework.
  • Familiarity with Travel Rule requirements and sanctions compliance (screening and monitoring).
  • Knowledge of crypto-specific AML risks, including wallet-tracing and blockchain analytics.
  • Confidence to work independently and report directly to the management body.
