TL;DR
Systems Engineer (Cybersecurity): Supporting the sales organization for Carrier and MSSP verticals by providing technical expertise in pre-sales and select post-sales activities with an accent on FortiOS-based products and network security. Focus on designing high-level architectures, driving PoCs, and acting as a trusted technical advisor for strategic accounts.
Location: Remote within Germany (requires 20-50% travel)

What you will do
- Support sales representatives in the Carrier and MSSP vertical through technical pre-sales and select post-sales activities.
- Demonstrate technical and business value of the portfolio, specifically FortiOS-based products.
- Lead technical engagements, including demos, RfX responses, and driving Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
- Provide high-level architecture and implementation design consultation for strategic opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor for MSSP/Carrier accounts, managing technical relationships and resolving complex issues.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Management to capture and communicate customer requirements.
Requirements
- Must be based in Germany.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pre-sales support with proven success.
- Expert knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, SDN, routing, switching) and network security (NGFW, IDS, encryption).
- Proficiency in UNIX/Linux, Windows, virtualization, containers, and public cloud environments.
- Excellent English and German language skills.
- Ability to travel 20-50% of the time.
Nice to have
- Experience with Security Architectures such as Zero Trust, SASE, and SD-WAN.
- Knowledge of Datacenter architectures like ACI or NSX-T.
- Familiarity with DevOps, IaC, and scripting using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Knowledge of IT security standards (ISO2700x, NIST, BSI 200-x) and EU regulations (GDPR/DSGVO, NIS-2).
